Mike

Mike is a 64 year old Navy Seal Vietnam Vet who lives under an overpass.  He has vast amounts of wisdom and wishes to receive his Veteran’s benefits and Social Security Income soon.  He almost moved back to North Carolina where he grew up because of a citation he received for flying a sign that said “Vietnam Vet, need help, God Bless.”  The fine is $375.

We met Mike at the “community center” which is the main camp of all the men who live around the railroad tracks.  It’s where these men get together when they want to hang out.  Mike is an amazing character and loves this picture of himself so much that he autographed two copies of it for us.
